August Ursin is the Principal Consultant of Ursin Aquatic Solutions, a Florida public pool consultant, and a CPO instructor providing regulatory consulting services and education to Florida’s public pool and spa industry. August is partnering with Space Coast Pool School to expand public pool education services in Florida. He is a Certified CPO instructor, teaching hundreds of Florida’s routine public pool inspectors. For over two decades, August worked in the public pool program for the Florida Department of Health, advancing from a field inspector to manager of the statewide program. His experience includes public pool inspection, regulatory interpretation, operator education, variance review, and practical compliance support for commercial pool owners, operators, builders, designers, and aquatic professionals. Through Ursin Aquatic Solutions, August helps bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and real-world pool operation. His work focuses on clear communication, practical solutions, safer public swimming environments, and stronger working relationships between regulators and Florida’s pool and spa industry.
