The instructor was funny, and he made us stay awake. There was a lot of information to do but I feel that August (Instructor) did good on focusing with us in Math. It made me feel comfortable. I like that it was open notes. I just wish that we did not have to go all the way to 2nd day and then take test in the late evening because by then I was exhausted. It was hard for me to focus on the test more of exhaustion. That was more a me thing not August (Instructor) nor the course. I would definitely recommend people interested in pool maintenance take it if you’re doing more industrial pool work for sure. August Ursin is the best instructor for the CPO course in Florida or anywhere you are located, and you need the CPO. He will walk you through a math problem and make you feel comfortable to understand how to use it in the pool industry. He makes the notes and walk-through of the booklet easier to understand and to go back to it if you ever need to in the future. He is a funny guy and down-to-earth. Overall, August, you are an awesome instructor. I’ll see you when I have to renew my pool CPO certification in 5 years. The course was awesome! I’m glad I took my CPO course and completed my certification with Pool & Hot Tub Alliance in Florida state & Ursin Aquatic Pool Academy.

I’m glad I took the course again, most of the material was information I use on a daily basis, testing the pools at our hotel However, several items had either changed since my last examination, or I simply forgot. Great teaching style I really appreciated his ability to focus on the more extensive aspects of the course and still cover the easier concepts, but without getting hung up on them. Wonderful use of humor to catch and maintain students’ attention. With all of his previous titles and employers, August shows a wicked deep understanding of concepts and the ability to elucidate those ideas to others. Thanks again!
